Choose material by its job
A compacted sub-base, a drainage layer and a planting bed need different materials. Tell us what you are building and provide the grade specified by your builder or designer. Primary and recycled materials are not automatically interchangeable. Ask us to confirm the product description, grading and current availability.

Work out your order quantity
For a rectangular area, length × width × planned depth gives an approximate volume. Use metres throughout; 100 mm is 0.1 m. Tonnes depend on the material's density, so do not assume one cubic metre equals one tonne. Share the measurements and whether the stated depth is before or after compaction.

Prepare the delivery position
Choose a firm, accessible area where a loose load can be safely placed. Send photographs of the entrance and delivery spot, including walls, drains, slopes and overhead obstructions. Keep different materials separate and check that the site is ready before confirming the slot. Ask about the minimum order and available delivery methods.

Sharp Sand
A coarse sand used for selected bedding and construction applications. Specify your intended use; it is not interchangeable with every other sand.

Which aggregate should I order?
Choose against your project specification. Tell us whether it is for a sub-base, concrete mix, bedding, drainage or landscaping, then confirm the required material and grade with your builder or designer.
How do I calculate the quantity?
Measure length, width and planned depth in metres to estimate volume. Share the figures with us so material density and the required delivery quantity can be discussed; a cubic metre is not automatically a tonne.
Can the load be placed over a wall?
Grab placement may be an option if reach and access are suitable. Send clear photos showing the lorry position, wall and placement area. A safe delivery method must be confirmed for the site.
Can I combine aggregate delivery and waste collection?
Tell us both requirements when requesting your quote. We can check whether a combined plan is practical for the route, vehicle, material and access, and confirm the arrangement before booking.
