Grab hire is a waste collection using a lorry fitted with a hydraulic loading arm. When the material and access are suitable, the lorry loads a prepared pile and takes it away in the same visit.

How a booking works

First, send your postcode, waste details, quantity and photographs. The vehicle and loading position are checked before a slot is agreed. Prepare the material in the confirmed position and have the site contact available when the lorry arrives.

When it can help

Grab collection can suit excavated soil, rubble and hardcore already gathered into a reachable pile. It can help when your site does not have a loading machine. Mixed waste, unknown material and awkward access all need discussion before suitability can be confirmed.

What arm reach does and does not tell you

The arm may reach over an obstacle, but reach alone does not make the collection possible. The lorry position, wall height, overhead services, pile position and safe working space all matter. A wide access photo is as useful as a close-up of the waste.
