Separate and describe the materials

A pile of clean rubble is different from a mixed load containing wood, bags, furniture or green waste. List each material and estimate how much is present. Keep separate waste streams apart where practical. Tell us about liquids, chemicals, electrical items or anything unidentified; these must not be assumed acceptable with an ordinary clearance.

Unknown or potentially hazardous waste

Do not disturb suspect asbestos, sealed containers, sharp items or unknown substances to prepare a photo. Describe what is visible from a safe position. We need to assess the material and collection route before agreeing a booking. A general waste-removal enquiry is not confirmation that every hazardous material can be collected.

Send the full postcode, collection position and pictures of the access route. Tell us if material must be carried from a building, whether a grab can reach it or if site plant is available. Can I include different waste types in one collection?

Tell us exactly which materials are mixed together before booking. Different waste streams may need separate arrangements, and suitability must be confirmed for the proposed load.

Can you collect hazardous or unidentified waste?

Do not assume hazardous material is included in a standard clearance. Share what is known about it without disturbing it. We need to assess whether an appropriate collection route is available.

What should I do with fly-tipped waste?

Photograph it from a safe position and record where it is. Avoid disturbing unknown materials. Report it to the appropriate authority and send us the details to discuss a suitable clearance arrangement.

What information helps you quote?
