Clear soil, rubble and bulky site waste with a grab lorry that loads and removes material in one visit.

The service
A grab lorry uses its hydraulic arm to load material into the vehicle, helping when you have a ready pile of waste and no loading machine on site. WCR provides grab hire for homeowners, builders and landscapers across Essex and London. Send the postcode, material details and photos so we can confirm a suitable vehicle, loading position and collection slot.
01 / Plan it properly
Grab collection works best when the material is ready in a reachable pile and a suitable loading position is available. It can help with excavations, driveway preparation, demolition rubble and landscaping clearances. Tell us if different waste streams are mixed together; a collection suitable for clean soil may not be suitable for a mixed pile.

02 / Plan it properly
Send a photo showing the pile and the full space between it and the proposed lorry position. Include gates, parked vehicles, walls, trees and overhead cables. Reach alone does not confirm that a lift is possible: the driver also needs safe positioning and working space. Share parking restrictions or roadworks before a slot is agreed.
03 / Plan it properly
The waste type, pile size, likely weight, number of loads, travel and loading access all affect the quote. A photo and rough length, width and height of the pile help us plan. Ask what is included, whether loading time is allowed for and whether any additional materials would change the price.

Useful answers
Get the practical details clear before booking.
The suitable load depends on the vehicle, material weight and loading conditions. Tell us the material and approximate pile dimensions so we can confirm capacity and whether more than one visit is needed.
It may be possible, depending on reach, height, the loading position and surrounding obstructions. Send photos of both sides and any overhead cables so access can be checked before booking.
Yes. Tell us whether the lorry would load on your property or from the road, together with parking restrictions, private-road rules and any site permissions. Do not assume every roadside collection is permit-free.
Call with the full postcode, waste type and photos. Same-day bookings depend on vehicle availability, the route, waste suitability and safe access; we confirm a slot before you rely on it.
