The material enquiry
Ballast is a blend of sand and aggregate used in selected concrete mixes. WCR advertises ballast deliveries across Essex and East London. Provide the grading and quantity required for your project, along with the site postcode and delivery access.
Photos on this page show WCR vehicles and material handling. They do not certify a particular product grade. Confirm the description, quantity and availability in your quotation.
01 / Plan the delivery
A ballast delivery is not a designed concrete mix. The required aggregate grading, cement, water and mix proportions should come from the person responsible for the construction specification. Tell WCR exactly what material has been specified rather than choosing a general mix ratio from a photograph.
02 / Plan the delivery
Share the quantities provided by your contractor and state whether they are in tonnes or another unit. If you only have excavation or slab dimensions, make clear that these describe the finished work rather than a confirmed ballast order. Agree the material quantity before booking.

03 / Plan the delivery
Keep the material clean, accessible and separate from other aggregate deliveries. Send pictures of the entrance, working space and proposed placement area. Mention loading or mixing equipment and any fixed site access time when discussing the delivery.
Before ordering
Use the material description and your project specification to agree the order.
No. Ballast is an aggregate blend used in some mixes. It is not a finished concrete supply or a guarantee that a particular structural mix requirement has been met.
Include the grading required by your project in the enquiry. WCR will confirm the material description, availability and delivery quotation.
