When does a tipper make sense?

A tipper can suit a site with loading machinery and space to manoeuvre, or a delivery that can safely be tipped in the agreed place. A grab may be more suitable when a pile needs the vehicle's own loading arm. Describe your loading equipment, material and available space so we can choose a practical option.

Check the route through your site

Share the entrance, gate width, turning area and any restrictions on the route to the loading or tipping point. Tell us about soft ground, slopes, weight limits, overhead services and timed delivery gates. The driver needs safe working space, and a tipping position must be agreed before material is delivered.

Agree the scope of the booking

Tell us the collection and destination postcodes, likely load quantity and whether you need one movement or several. Ask whether the quote is by load or another agreed arrangement, what waiting time includes and how changes to the schedule are handled. Assign an on-site contact to coordinate loading and vehicle arrivals.

Is tipper hire the same as grab hire?

No. A grab has an arm that can load a suitable pile. A tipper usually needs loading plant for collections and a suitable tipping area for deliveries. The material and site access determine the right option.

What loading equipment do I need?

Tell us what excavator, loader or other suitable plant is on site and who will operate it. We confirm the required arrangements before booking a tipper collection.

How many loads will I need?

This depends on the quantity, material weight, suitable vehicle and loading conditions. Send a tonnage estimate, pile dimensions or excavation measurements to help plan the movements.

Can I arrange repeat tipper movements?

Send the planned quantities, dates and site opening times. We can discuss vehicle availability and scheduling, with each arrangement confirmed before work is booked.
